In the Dordogne region, south-west of France, the Saint-Geyrac forest has come back to life after two difficult decades. The reforestation project conducted during winter 2020-2021 led to the planting of more than 19,000 trees on 16 damaged plots.
In Kenya, the new rainy season, starting in April 2021, is favourable to the resumption of plantations in the Mount Kenya region. The aim of the project is to support local communities in restoring deforested areas of Mount Kenya and to develop agroforestry on their farmland in order to secure their food supply. In Villers-devant-Orval, a village located in the province of Luxembourg in Belgium, a forest plot has been successfully reforested. The project was completed thanks to the support of our Reforest'Actors, Lansinoh, Stepstone Belgium and Arval Belgium.
In 2017, a storm devastated the northern and western parts of Poland. As a result, nearly 80,000 hectares were ravaged. Three years later, this reforestation intends to restore a heavily affected forest massif situated in the municipality of Lipusz.
